Muslim Claim Racism and Bigotry
Is this racist and being a bigot?
I’ve spoken with Muslims and all have told me of the beauty of Islam. I’m sure there are beautiful precepts in the Islamic faith as there are in other religions.
Undoubtedly the demands of 5 prayers a day could place one in a ‘different’ state of mind that could be considered beautiful. Buddhists would agree I’m sure. With the threat of never getting out of Islam alive, there is plenty of incentive to pray for those that are weak in the ways of Muhammad. That must also be true.
This brings me to my main question, but first some in depth context and preliminary questions to better understand what I am asking.
Several days ago I heard a Muslim lady on a radio talk show call in and tell the commentator that the terrorists are not Muslims. She asserted that Muhammad never preached conversion by the sword. The commentator then asked, “If these terrorists aren’t Muslims then why don’t the real Muslims rise up in public protest?”
The Muslim lady replied, “The press doesn’t come and ask us what we think.”
“Why no protests?” it is asked. The answer is, “Because the press doesn’t come and ask us our opinion? What doesn’t sound quite right here? Is she dodging the question, or am just not seeing it?
Her reply illustrates quite well what I’ve witnessed in interviews over the years, since September 11th brought Islam and the Middle East into our living rooms every night. Whenever asked a direct question it seems that most representatives of Islam or Islam apologists will make the assertion it is the responsibility of others to understand and be tolerant.
One of the issues we must understand first, according to Muslims world-wide, is that Israel must continuously concede land. Ultimately Jews must leave Israel or be destroyed. After all, they assert, it is Muslim land.
Muslims assert often that the continual strife in the Middle East is everyone else’s fault. I am amazed that the well educated Western Societies do not recognize this most common of childish excuses, “It’s their fault I did what I did”.
This thinking sounds like the children of the world convincing the more advanced cultures who have had great advances in science, medicine, technology and manufacturing, that it is the West’s fault that Muslims of the Middle East and as it turns out most everywhere else, can’t live in peace with others of a different faith.
I guess you could say I completely reject the oft quoted assertion that “all cultures are equal”. Because what is suggested then is that the culture of a Nazi Germany is of equal worth to the world as a free nation.
Muslim clerics are teaching that it is better to kill in protest of the Muslim’s choice being taken away in 1948 when a world body established Israel than living in peace with Israel and Western Civilization.
They do not believe in the reparations of the defeated when Muslims were defeated in their alliance with Fascist Germany. They play the left and our press by saying they are “insulted” by Bush’s reference to Islamic Fascism.
They are insulted by Jews being ‘forced’ into their midst. They are insulted by cartoons of Mohammed and vow to kill those who draw them. They are insulted by a speech given by a Catholic Pope. They are insulted by any negative reference to Islam and seek revenge on any perpetrator.
Then we have been told by our own leaders and military ‘professionals’ that we must always conduct ourselves to a nebulous “higher standard” in combat. Israel is reminded by our President to be ‘mindful’ of ‘civilian casualties’. These are the same civilians that give Hezbollah 87% support.
Muslims and the “International Community” place the requirement before us to treat the murderers that kill innocent women and children humanely if captured.
We the unbelievers on the other hand are beheaded, or tortured and shot or blown up by a suicidal killer.
What am I missing here?
In Gitmo detainees who are in more lenient portions of the compound are attacking our troops at a higher rate than in the more strict portions. “Uh, yeah go figure”.
Doctors are forced to wear flack jackets when treating detainees because so many have been attacked by the people they are trying to save.
The detainees wake up to the calls to prayer. They are given a Muslim diet. They are issued prayer rugs, dental and health care. Yet we are inhumane in our treatment of them if we give them military tribunals or withhold secret information to their defense council?
Do these little facts get a blip in the minds of those Americans that hamper our ability to protect ourselves?
We have representatives taking advantage of the current climate of protecting us from Bush instead of protecting us from terrorists. Those representatives are in a ‘revolt’ in committee about our rules of trying and interrogating enemy combatants.
I am convinced that these representatives and their followers do not think we are in a conflict for America’s survival. This is much like the public and our politicians were before World War II.
Have our leaders read the same history I have?
There are lessons in our history that are a map to success, yet it seems to me they and those that follow are willfully ignoring this hard earned wisdom. We let Germany have a pass in 1939 and when our time came to pay the piper we had a lot of catching up to do. Although then we had the manufacturing base and the will, today I see neither.
We insist we are conducting a war at a “higher standard” than our enemies. We don’t bomb funerals filled with Taliban Leaders because such is against our ‘rules of engagement’.
For every Taliban leader that walked away unscathed, how many American troops, how many N.A.T.O. troops, how many civilians will be killed? One of those troops could be my son or daughter. Are our children, who are in Afghanistan and Iraq actually being placed in greater danger by allowing our enemy to live or by allowing military tribunals? Which cost more sons and daughters lives?
Have we allowed our enemy a free pass out of respect for their religion?
Where is the good fruit from the good tree that would warrant such respect?
Where are the advances in technology, medicine and science that would raise the standard of life for billions?
Muslims in the Middle East have had at least a century of uncounted wealth. Their countries are sitting on money, yet no where is there a break-through in the peaceful works of man.
They have the resources to establish the finest Universities in the World. They could have the finest labs to combat cancer and spinal cord injuries. They could recruit the finest minds of the world, which among them would be Jews.
Instead, Islam’s most recent foray into technology and science is Uranium enrichment for an energy source they don’t need. They publicly and repeatedly say their goal is to wipe the country of Israel off the map.
Their money, they feel, is better spent in arming Hezbollah and fighting a war with civilian shields.
Today all Muslims are encouraged by our attitudes immensely, be they radical or not. They see splits in our resolve daily from our press and political leadership. Their demands escalate yearly. They are convinced their victory is at hand. They see us hesitate in our resolve.
From this my initial question arises.
